Idea... "I want" is not artwork. Even the simplistic drawing helps the design process.
- Know what you want
- Know where you want your elements placed
- Think about your favorite fonts or font families.
- Start with a sketch
- If you don't know what you want, be prepared to pay It's Yours for creative time or if it's beyond our scope we know logo creators that can take your idea to artwork that decorators and printers can use without any extra charges once your "design" is "camera ready"
For Embroidery... We don't have to be picky when it comes for artwork for embroidery. The only thing we don't like to accept is web graphics. (1) Web graphics are designed to be very small in order to load quickly in your browser. (2) Web graphics are usually copyrighted and if you own the graphic you must also have a better quality available to you that you can send us.
Graphic duplication... for silk screening, transfers and cad cut designs for garments, signs and banners any decorator will accept the following formats. If you don't understand these formats talk to us, we will be more than happy to help you.
Prefered electronic file formats:
- Corel Draw (.cdr and tell us what version it's designed in) we currently use X3
- Editable PDF
- Adobe Illustrator (uncompressed .ai or .eps)
- Jpeg (.jpg in high resolution) Rule of thumb is that if you can enlarge it to the size you want it, print it outand if the print out passes your approval we can use it.
Bitmap graphics can also be used but only as a guideline to be re-created.
